In this volume I integrate the feminist therapy paradigm for practice into the realities of psychotherapy supervision. Because supervision and consultation are so core to the training and professional education of psychotherapists, having a clear model of how to integrate feminist constructs into supervisory roles makes it possible to offer training in feminist therapy to a much wider range of people. Among the topics I address in this book are how to balance the tension between an empowerment/egalitarian practice model and the necessary hierarchies of supervision in training settings, and the challenges of doing disciplinary and remediative supervision in a feminist framework. The DVD Feminist therapy supervision was created as a companion to this book.
